How It Works

Rum & Thatch is one free membership with a standing calendar: monthly Mixers at the best public tiki bars, monthly Driftwood Socials on the sand, and monthly Ember Nights at the cigar lounge. Here’s the whole journey, from the waitlist to your first night out.

   Join the waitlist

   Start on the free Mixers list, just your email and city. Jacksonville is first; every signup tells us which Florida market to light next. Membership is strictly 21+.

2. 2

   Set your username

   Real names are optional. Your username is what other members see, so use whatever you actually want to be called. We verify who you are behind the scenes to keep the community safe; nobody else needs your job title.

3. 3

   Come to a Mixer

   Every month we gather at a great tiki or tropical bar. Come solo or bring your crew. Your Organizer runs the night and makes the introductions, so no one drinks alone.

   Catch a Driftwood Social

   Once a month we trade the barstools for the sand at golden hour: exotica on a portable speaker, the tide coming in, zero agenda. Attendees are responsible for following local beach ordinances.

   Settle in for an Ember Night

   Every month, we slow it all the way down at a great cigar lounge: low light, leather chairs, and conversation that outlasts the ash. No cigar required; come for the room and the company.

   Make it a ritual

   Between get-togethers, the dashboard is yours: browse The Scene (our vetted directory of Florida’s best tiki rooms), fill out your profile with the cocktails and rums you love, add friends, and trade messages. The more you show up, the more the community feels like yours.
